It’s our last day in school, and today was the students “Sports Day.” Each class was a team color. My class was “Blue Team.” It was an open day, so the parents were also invited to watch their kids to take photos and videos of them while playing for memories. In order, each team had their song played to dance on, and the judges would rate which team had the best dancing. After the dances, they started to play in groups to see which team gets the high scores to see who’ll win. Right after the student’s competitions, parent’s and teacher’s competitions started were they all had fun, enjoyed their day and shared waves of laughter. I will miss those days, while I won’t get the chance to see them every morning again. After I goodbye the teacher, assistant, and the students, that moment when it was time to leave, it made me think about my last experience in the government school, this time was a way better experience from many views, than the one I had last time.

Today they finished their teaching days, so the students left early. They spent their day doing activities and play with their classmates. By the end of the week the students will have sports day which there will be a competition between all the KG’s classes, so they had to prepare the students for that day. First, the team’s colors were divided among all the KG’s classes; my class was chosen to be the ‘blue team.’ Second, we had to prepare them to dance on a song; each class had to choose a song to dance on so later they will be voted on who has the best song and dance. All the teachers tried their best to train their students and prepare them well to win on the sports day. It made me think about myself when I was in school and how we used to train for our sports day, I remember I was in a green team, it brought up some good old memories.
It's “Colors Day,” each class had to wear a color. My class had the yellow color, so it’s “Yellow Day” for them; the students had to wear yellow dresses or shirts. It was like an open day for them. They danced on the yellow color song, then they watched a movie together, while the students watching the film, the assistant and I gave the students handmade ladybug crowns, we also wore the crowns, so the students would feel interested in wearing them. When I thought about it, I knew what I did was right that I even started feeling happy when I wore the crown and started sharing it with the students, so the students would feel equal and excited to wear them. After that we took them out of the class, not to feel bored, we went to the hall to play for them some songs to dance on. Before the day ends, we took them outdoors to play in the playground. By the end of the day, my MST gave me the feedback report and mentioned that I was able to attend all sessions, I can lead a class, I could draw student’s attention easily. The observed strength that I was patient with the students and I had a welcoming character. The area I need to develop is to make sure to acknowledge every student need. I agree with the results because I was able to motivate the students during the lesson and attract their interests and attention. The students were responding with me, and I felt happy that I was able to control them and excite them for an entire class without getting bored, because I try to use all the learning styles during my lesson, so everyone would get engaged and encouraged.
The students had a trip to “Kidzania” at Dubai Mall. It took us two hours to reach our destination because of the traffic. When we arrived there, my MST divided the students into groups, so each teacher will have a group to take them around and play. The students had fun playing with their friends, once they finished playing, all the students were gathered in Kidzania’s theater so that the food would get served for them. We went to the bus, and we all felt exhausted because of the responsible we had, but at the same time, we enjoyed our day. I found taking students on trips is very interesting because they’ll have the chance to play with their classmates and have fun with them out of the school besides of changing their daily routines.
I was waiting for this day so long, it’s my observation day, and I had to teach the students the ‘letter B.’ I was so sick, by that my voice wasn’t clear and I had a fever that day, so I didn’t do well because I wasn’t concentrating well. Although I know that I can do way better than this. We were late in booking an appointment with the MCT which led us to have no choice in choosing which day would be our observation. Everything happened so fast; we booked during the weekend and on Sunday was our observation. Next time, when I teach I want to teach the students a whole class with the activity, so I would know exactly what to do and arrange it well. I will also book as soon as possible without being late, so I would have enough time to prepare for everything well.
The students had “Spring Day” today, so they had to wear spring clothes, colors or anything related to spring. In the morning, the students had an Islamic lesson, so they also had to bring with them prayer clothes for their first lesson. All KG2’s classes were gathered in the school’s prayer room to have their lesson there. After their class finished, the students had a break to eat and play. All the KG’s students were gathered in the hall. First, the principal gave the stars of the week certificates and after the distribution of certificates, their “Spring Day” started. Students and teachers were all wearing spring clothes, costumes or hats. In the end, each class got up the stage to start their show of the spring day. When I reflected I thought that sharing the students their spring day by wearing the spring clothes would make them feel happy and enjoy their day when the students see their teachers are doing the same thing; they won’t feel the gap of the age or the distance this way.
After the assembly, students were dismissed to their classes. In the class, students had their daily exercises then they started their English class. In the beginning, they had to speak out loud with the teacher reviewing which day is it today, what’s tomorrow and what was yesterday. Then started reviewing today’s weather, everyone is used to say that the weather is sunny, so they all mistaken with it, today’s weather was cloudy. Students had to finish their work from the last class, whoever didn’t finish writing the letter had to complete it to start with the letter’s worksheet which was coloring things that begin with the letter they’re learning. When I reflected, I thought that giving the students an activity of the letter would make them feel interested in learning new letter each time. Later on, they had their Arabic class then PE, and by the end of the day, they went outdoors to play in the playground.
It’s my second day in the private kindergarten. Before the teacher starts her lesson, she played a video of exercising with counting the numbers from 1-100 so the students would feel energetic and fully awake by exercising together. Then she played them a video of the letter she’ll teach them today which is the ‘letter F.’ She wrote the letter on the board and asked one of the students to write it again in front of the other students. The students were dismissed to go and sit on their chairs to start writing the letter in their books, and whoever finishes writing today’s letter, starts practicing the ‘letter R’ from the past. My friend and I felt happy by helping the students who are facing any difficulty in writing the letter. When I teach I want to give them an activity related to the letter too, it would be useful and helpful for them to relate things to the letter easily.
It’s my first day in the private kindergarten. My friends and I were grouped into pairs in each class; I went with my partner Aisha to the class to meet out MST and her assistant. They had parents meeting after school, so the kids are going to leave early today. At the morning during the first class, we took the students outdoors, they all sat down excited on the carpet waiting for their turn and each time the teacher will call one of the students to come to her and paint a rainbow with the sponge. Afterward, she started calling them again one by one to paint a flower with the bottom of the bottle. I believe, changing the usual place, instead of staying in the classroom; taking the students out of the class excites them
